Saf-T-Lanyard

Saf-T Lanyard

The Saf-T-Lanyard allows a worker to attach to the structure, ladder rungs, stringers, or other suitable anchor points, when detached from the security of the Saf-T-Climb equipment. It can also be used to aid in rescuing a worker who is unconscious or disabled during a down-hole climb. When the lanyard is attached to the Saf-T-Climb Harness, a worker can be pulled to safety. The lanyard is made of 5/B” diameter nylon rope with double-locking snap hooks at each end. It is a shock absorbing device which allows for gradual deceleration, reducing shock loads to below 4 kn as required by OSHA 1910.66 appendix “(“, ANSI 1359.1-1992 and CSA 1259.11-m92. Deceleration during a fall is provided by tear stitch type webbing. The lanyard can be adjusted in length from 36″ to 72”. This device cannot be reused once a fall has occurred. The lanyard also meets the requirements of OSHA 1915, and 1976.
