It is now required by the State Elevator Inspector and State Fire Marshal to install a smoke detector and/or heat sensor inside elevator hoistways, machine rooms, and other restricted areas to ensure compliance.
JJM access panel enclosures provide an approved, reliable method for housing these smoke detectors and heat sensors within these restricted spaces, while remaining easily serviceable from the outside.
Our patented product features a UL-labeled door that is self-closing and self-locking, making it fully permissible for elevator wall construction within the elevator hoistway. We also provide an integrated, adjustable shelf to allow for precise horizontal smoke detector and heat detector mounting inside the enclosure.
Approved by the State Elevator Inspector and State Fire Marshal, our enclosures are custom made to your specifications. Prices vary on fabrication to your specifications and delivery needs. Patent Approval No. 09/497393.
