The Saf-T-Lok Sleeve is the principal lifesaving element of the Saf-T-Climb fall prevention system. The locking pawl provides automatic fall arrest by locking into a notch on the Saf-T-Notch Rail when the normal climbing position is interrupted. The housing of the unique sleeve is made of cast manganese bronze and fitted with five zinc plated steel roller bearings for maximum reliability and smooth movement. Climbers assume a comfortable and less tiring climbing posture while leaning away from the ladder. The rugged sleeve design assures each climber of the best protection available.It is necessary to have one Sleeve and Harness per climber available. It is a good safety policy to have an additional Saf-T-Lok Sleeve and Harness for emergencies so that a rescuer can have the full protection of the Saf-T-Climb system also.

1. Locking Pawl: Is the key to the lifesaving action of the Saf-T-Lok Sleeve. See Fig. 1 and 2 above for detail. 2. Housing: Contains position springs and stainless steel pin which hold locking pawl in place.
3. Bearings: Assure smooth travel of the Sleeve on the carrier rail.
4. Safety Snap: Double-locking snap hook attaches the Sleeve to the special Saf-T-Climb ring on the Saf-T-Climb Harness. The snap and connecting link control the action of the locking pawl in the sleeve.
5. Leading Bearing: For easy travel over straight or curved rail.
