Door panel: 10 gauge plate steel
Hinge: Heavy duty detention hinges welded to frame and door
Finish: Rust-inhibitive prime finish gray
Lock: Mortise prep, Detention Lock Prep for Detention Lock installed; Security Fasteners can also be provided with or without lock.
- Mortise Prep Options: This includes either a mortise cylinder deadbolt prep, or a mortise cylinder cam lock prep. In either case, a mortise cylinder of 1-1/8" diameter by 15/16" length is provided and installed by others.
- Detention Lock, Prep or Installed: The door can be prepared for a heavy-duty detention deadlock provided and installed by others. Or, one of our line of detention deadlocks (Series DDL) can be factory-installed. Standard model DDL-2 (pictured left) features an investment cast steel case, bronze alloy cylinder, stainless steel deadbolt, and five hard brass lever tumblers. Contact BL Wilcox for further details on this model, as well as on the larger model DDL-3, and slam-latch model DDL-1.
- Security Fasteners: This option consists of tamper-proof screws that fasten through the door to nuts welded behind the door-stops. A special tool is then required to gain access. Several different head configurations are available.
